She believes there is still a tragic misconception and dangerous stigmatization of “mental illness,” and that the current mainstream medical paradigm of diagnosis and treatment further aggravate the situation. In 2019 Claudia founded JAEC, the Justice, Action & Education in Compassion Foundation, based in Switzerland. Our mission is to create awareness towards and support for the most vulnerable and misunderstood individuals of our society, their families, and communities, while at the same time promoting alternatives to the biomedical treatment model.
