From Mad in Mexico: Some time ago we had the opportunity to chat with Colectivo Chuhcan A.C., who told us about the work they have done, their approach and their participation in the Crazy Mexico Pride. Being the first organization (in Mexico) managed entirely by experts through experience, their work has focused on visibility, awareness of issues related to mental health, seeking to combat the prejudices and stigmas. They maintain an approach from the social model of disability and human rights, moving away from medical-biological perspectives.
